Hello

Welcome! My name is Lizz Arias. I have lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for 14 years and have been a massage therapist for almost a decade. Over this time, I have been truly amazed by the human body and its ability to rest, recover, and heal when given the space. This is where my work comes in. I have had the pleasure of working with people of all ages, in a variety of situations and health levels. I take an intuitive approach, meaning I listen to your body and work with it to gain momentum.

The benefits of massage are significant, and I will go into more detail. The more consistent one can be with massage, the greater those benefits become. It is crucial to take care of ourselves, and bodywork is a cornerstone of self-care.

I could go on at length about the many benefits of massage therapy, but I’ll keep it simple here. I warmly invite you to call me so we can talk in more detail about what you’re looking for and how massage can best support you.

Some of the many benefits of massage therapy include (but are not limited to):
• Reduced stress and anxiety
• Calming of the nervous system
• Reduced inflammation and muscle tension
• Improved circulation and range of motion
• Pain reduction or management
• Better sleep quality
• Enhanced relaxation and mood
• Support for chronic pain, headaches, and other health conditions
• Support in recovery from new or old injuries and post-surgical healing

Massage therapy can also support the immune system by stimulating and working with the lymphatic system. Additionally, massage can be especially helpful after trauma by calming the nervous system, helping the body move out of a sympathetic (fight-or-flight) state and back into balance.

Massage therapy is for all ages. Pediatric massage can be a beautiful and supportive addition to a child’s overall wellness and care. Benefits may include support for physical, emotional, and cognitive development, as well as improved sleep, digestion, circulation, muscle relaxation, and immune function. Pediatric massage can also help reduce stress and anxiety and support children with chronic illness, muscle tone disorders, and neurological conditions.

During a session, I often incorporate multiple modalities. One modality I find especially effective for creating space for healing and deeply reducing muscular tension is Myofascial Release (MFR). Over the years, I have studied fascia and continue to deepen my understanding of how fascial restrictions affect the body. This work is gentle, powerful, and highly beneficial, and I often integrate it into my massage sessions.
